Margie McGlynn is president of Merck Vaccines and Infectious Disease. She has responsibility for global leadership of Merck's vaccine and infectious disease businesses.
Reporting to the president of Global Human Health, Mr. Ken Frazier, Ms. McGlynn is also a member of Merck's Human Health Operating Committee which has responsibility for preparing, launching, and marketing new products, optimizing the performance of existing products, and ensuring a high-performing marketing and sales operation worldwide.
Ms. McGlynn was promoted to president, vaccine division, in August, 2005 from her preceding position as president, U.S. Human Health, to which she was named in January, 2003. Ms. McGlynn joined Merck in 1983 and has spent her entire career there. Her earlier Merck experience includes a number of senior level assignments including executive vice president of customer marketing and sales, senior vice president, worldwide human health marketing, senior vice president, health and utilization management at Merck-Medco, and senior vice president, managed care.
Ms. McGlynn was raised in Upstate New York where she graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a B.S. in Pharmacy and a MBA in Marketing.
She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Air Products and Chemicals. She is also a member of the National Industrial Advisory Committee at the University at Buffalo. Additionally, Ms. McGlynn is a member of the Global Alliance for Vaccine Immunization (GAVI) Board and Executive Committee, as well as the Corporate Executive Board for the Philadelphia Museum of Art. |

Boomer Esiason was selected from the University of Maryland by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1984 NFL Draft. A veteran quarterback of 14 years with the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals, Mr. Esiason is the most prolific left-handed quarterback in NFL history. He was selected as the NFL's MVP in 1988. His career marks rank among the top ten in the NFL in all-time passing yards, career completions, and career attempts.
Mr. Esiason has become a leading national figure in the fight against cystic fibrosis. When his son, Gunnar, was diagnosed with the disease 14 years ago, he and his wife, Cheryl, established the Boomer Esiason Foundation. To date, the Foundation has raised over $58.5 million to fight cystic fibrosis. Mr. Esiason is currently a radio analyst for CBS Sports/Westwood One's coverage of the NFL Monday Night Football games; a television analyst for CBS Sports' The NFL Today; host of Madison Square Garden's Boomer Esiason Show; and is now also the host of the Boomer and Carton Show on WFAN every morning M-F from 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
