Mr. Brownlie is the metro New York area life science industry leader. He has been with Ernst & Young for more than 34 years. He has extensive experience with SEC registration statements including IPOs and recurring reporting. His industry and professional qualifications include extensive experience auditing and facilitating the public offerings of entrepreneurial companies, mergers and acquisitions, financing alternatives and other entrepreneurial business issues. Mr. Brownlie is a member of Ernst & Young's National Life Sciences Committee, the New Jersey, New York and Connecticut Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs. He is also a former vice president and trustee of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and a co-chair of the Annual Joint Symposium held by BioNJ and PA Bio. He is a frequent speaker on the Life Science industry and has written numerous articles on trends in the industry. Mr. Brownlie is a graduate of Lehigh University with a BS in Accounting.

Manya Deehr is chief legal officer and general counsel for Eurand. Prior to joining Eurand, she was a partner Morgan Lewis & Bockius, LLP. Her practice over the last 17 years has been exclusively focused on the special business and legal needs of public and private life sciences companies. Ms. Deehr has represented and advised emerging growth companies as well as pharmaceutical companies in structuring and negotiating some of the largest pharmaceutical ventures ever completed. She employs her technical experience as a patent attorney in the context of business transactions.
Ms. Deehr earned A.B. in biochemistry from Harvard University and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She is currently admitted to practice in Colorado, Pennsylvania and California and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
